Frequently asked questions
How does gloss differ from matt?
In the degree of gloss and in the container; otherwise we describe both in the same way. Both are two-component PU varnishes for surface sealing of trowelled surfaces and varnishable substrates indoors. Matt varnish 2K comes in 5 l plus 0.5 l hardener, gloss varnish 2K in 2 l plus 0.4 l hardener. A technical data sheet with consumption and wet room suitability exists only for matt varnish 2K.
Is the hardener included, or do I buy it separately?
The hardener is included: 2 l of base and 0.4 l of hardener in the container. For replenishment, extra hardener is available in the 0.5-l bottle.
Can I use gloss as a seal in wet areas?
Use matt varnish 2K for that. We approve it for wet rooms on walls and floors. In the technical data sheet for T-Razzino 1K, too, it is the top seal for wet areas. There is no technical data sheet of its own for gloss varnish 2K, and therefore no written wet room approval.
Can the varnish also be used outdoors?
No. The varnish is made for trowelled surfaces and substrates suitable for varnishing indoors. We do not approve it for outdoor use.
