Naturale
Item no. 1455
With Naturale, you create wall and ceiling surfaces indoors, from smooth to textured and marble-like. The lime marble plaster is water-based and comes ready to use in three grain sizes: fine up to 0.3 mm, medium up to 0.5 mm and coarse up to 0.7 mm. Always apply to grain thickness. The surface is created through several coats, mixed grain sizes and glaze techniques. We tint Naturale for you and supply it ready-tinted, in over 2,000 shades. Per coat, you need 0.30 to 0.45 kg/m² for fine, 0.60 to 1.00 kg/m² for medium and 1.20 to 1.50 kg/m² for coarse. Substrate and surroundings must not fall below 5 °C during application and drying. At 20 °C and 65 % rel. humidity, the area is surface-dry after 4 to 6 hours. Naturale is solvent-free, plasticiser-free and biocide-free, and the VOC content is below 0.01 g/kg. You can find all values in technical data sheet no. 220.
- Vapour-permeable: regulates the indoor climate and reduces microbial growth
- Three grain sizes: fine up to 0.3 mm, medium up to 0.5 mm, coarse up to 0.7 mm
- Over 99 % natural ingredients, VOC content under 0.01 g/kg, biocide-free

The system build-up
Naturale is layer three. You need the rest to go with it.
A surface lasts because the layers fit together. Everything here is matched to Naturale and comes in one order.

Questions
What applicators ask about this.
Frequently asked questions
Fine, medium or coarse: which should I choose?
The surface you want decides that: the coarser the grain, the more texture remains. Fine goes up to 300 µm, medium up to 500 µm, coarse up to 700 µm. You do not have to commit to one. You build up the surface in several coats and may vary the grain sizes between coats. Together with glaze techniques, you can go from textured to smooth and marble-like.
Can I trowel directly onto tiles?
No. Tiles count as non-absorbent substrates. You first clean them or sand them, and then prime. For old tiles, levelling with Basic lightweight filler in two coats is added, with a fleece in the first coat. The lime marble plaster only goes on top of this build-up.
How much material do I need per square metre?
Per coat, 0.30 to 0.45 kg per m² for fine, 0.60 to 1.00 kg for medium and 1.20 to 1.50 kg for coarse. We do not prescribe a fixed number of coats; it depends on the surface you want.
Can I get the shade the customer wants?
In most cases, yes. We tint Naturale for you and deliver it ready-tinted, in over 2,000 shades. You choose one of the 20 Interieur Select shades or tell us the shade you want. With a shade of your choice, a colour deviation is possible.
How cold can it be on site?
At least 5 °C, on the substrate as well as in the surroundings. This applies during application and throughout the entire drying period. In colder or more humid rooms, the surface takes longer than the 4 to 6 hours after which it is surface-dry at 20 °C and 65 % relative humidity.
You learn this technique in the D-Korativ surfaces workshop.
Finished surfaces

Bathrooms, showers, floors and walls without a single joint, made with this material.
What the surface still needs.
Primer and sealer are part of the build-up. The times given above apply to the fully sealed surface.
For highly absorbent substrates, before the primer
Hydrogrund
You even out lime-cement plaster, concrete, aerated concrete and plasterboard first. Priming is done only after drying.

Primer
You prime tiles, waterproofing membranes and checked old paint coats before you apply the plaster.

The protection: impregnating soap or wax
Impregnating soap
If you soap the surface after it has dried through, it becomes water- and dirt-repellent. You can use the wax instead of the soap.
