Seamless surfaces workshop in Lannach near Graz
Two days at the wall and you can offer seamless surfaces.
For painters, floor layers, tilers and craft businesses in interior finishing: In two hands-on days you apply the complete Materea system yourself, from the substrate to the sealer. You work on your own surface and Philip stands beside you at every step.

From the substrate to the finished surface.
You make six sample boards of your own, which you later use to present sample finishes to your customers for their projects. We go through the substrate, waterproofing and shower floor together in theory. Afterwards you know the system build-up and what matters when applying it on site.

01 Assessing substrates correctly.
Together we go through how to check a substrate properly and what to watch out for before further coats or work steps follow: absorbent or non-absorbent, even or uneven, and when Hydrogrund, Primer or Basic lightweight filler belong in the build-up.

02 Waterproofing wet areas professionally.
We go through the waterproofing step by step in theory, also using our training videos: sealing tape, inside and outside corners, sleeves at the pipe penetrations and 2K waterproofing compound.

03 Building shower floors correctly.
We discuss the options for building a shower floor correctly: with ready-made shower boards that you coat, or with ready-made shower trays from our shop, in the same shade, chosen from the Interieur Select shades. The pros and cons of sloped screeds are also covered.

04 Applying T-Razzino correctly.
You work with T-Razzino+ in fine up to 0.3 mm and coarse up to 0.5 mm, as well as with the ready-to-use T-Razzino 1K. On your own surface you create smooth and textured finishes.

05 Designing and sealing surfaces.
With glazes and additives you determine shade and effect. With Ad-Just you create textured seamless surfaces on the wall. Finally you seal the surface with 2K PU varnish in matt or gloss and silicone in the matching shade.

06 Selling your services convincingly.
Drawing on his own experience, Philip shows you how to sell these services properly, stand out from the competition and position yourself correctly in the market. We also discuss how to become visible on Google so that customers find you and your services.

Day 1 lays the foundation. Day 2 completes the surface.
You go through the complete system build-up in the right order and keep to the drying times. That way you work in the workshop under the same conditions as later on site.

We go through together in theory which substrates there are and how to prepare them properly.

Trowel large areas
On your own practice surface you trowel T-Razzino+ yourself, over a large area.

Prepare six sample boards
All six sample boards are primed and given their surface.

Start the layer build-up
You start a layer build-up board that shows the complete system build-up.

Finish the sample boards
You design all the boards with glazes and seal them. Afterwards they dry in the racks.

Waterproofing and shower floors by video
Using our training videos, we go through waterproofing, the installation of shower trays and advice on shower floors.

Marketing and sales
How to sell your service successfully and become visible in the market, with a Google presence and Meta ads.
- 04
Finish with a certificate
To finish, you receive goodies and merchandise from Materea and a certificate for the workshop.

Philip is a master painter and has worked in surface design for eight years. What he shows you, he does himself on site.
He takes you through every step you will need on site later: assessing and priming the substrate, waterproofing the wet area, installing the shower board, applying T-Razzino in two coats, finishing with glaze and additive and sealing with 2K PU varnish.
On your own surface you do every task yourself, and he stands beside you and corrects before a surface goes wrong. At the end of day 2 you take your own sample surface with you and know why each layer holds.

I have never trowelled seamless surfaces before. Is the workshop too soon for me?
No. You need practical skill and a feel for the trowel, but no previous experience with the Materea systems. The people in the room are painters, floor layers, tilers and interior finishing businesses, who come for exactly that reason.
Which systems do I work with over the two days?
T-Razzino+ fine and coarse as well as T-Razzino 1K, and Ad-Just for greater layer thicknesses. For the substrate: Hydrogrund, Primer and Basic lightweight filler, plus the waterproofing system and the shower boards Basic Shower and Unico. You design with glazes and additives and seal with 2K PU varnish and silicone.
Can I do a seamless bathroom afterwards?
Waterproofing, shower board and sealing are part of the two days. Everything in the wet area depends on exactly these. The responsibility for the execution on site remains with you as a specialist business. The technical data sheets are available with each product in the shop.
How much do I trowel myself?
You work hands-on from the start and have your own surface. Watching is not part of the plan: each of the ten places is a workstation and the two days are for trowelling.
Do I have to bring tools or materials?
No. Tools, protective equipment and all the material are provided. Wear work clothes that can get trowel coating on them.
What is the difference from the D-Korativ workshop?
Seamless is about the sealed, load-bearing surface with T-Razzino, including waterproofing and shower board. D-Korativ is about decorative surfaces with lime powder, exposed concrete, Echtmetall, glazes and additives. Many participants do one first and then the other. Go to the D-Korativ workshop
Will I receive confirmation of attendance?
Yes. After the second day you receive a certificate of attendance for the two hands-on days.
Can I order in the shop after the workshop?
Yes. Your confirmed participation approves your customer account. You can also order without the workshop; registering as a business is enough. Become an applicator
