Frequently asked questions
What distinguishes glossy silicone from matt silicone?
Technically, only the finish. Both are the same neutral-curing, MEKO-free oxime silicone, remain permanently elastic after curing and come in the 310-ml cartridge. The price differs as well. Both are available in the 20 Interieur Select shades and as a special shade.
Where can I use the silicone?
Indoors and outdoors, in connection joints and movement joints on various substrates and floor coverings. This applies to kitchens, areas close to food and wet rooms, and equally to joints at window frames and door frames.
Can I match the shade to the surface?
Yes. Glossy silicone is available in all 20 Interieur Select shades. That way you can match the joint to, for example, a surface made of T-Razzino 1K or T-Razzino+ 2K that is tinted in the same Interieur Select shade. Special shades are available on request.
How many linear metres can I get from one cartridge?
Around 7 linear metres per 310 ml cartridge. Plan the quantity needed from the joint dimensions.
How do I store the cartridges and how long do they last?
Store the cartridges in a cool place at +10 to +20 °C, dry, frost-free and upright. Unopened, the silicone keeps for at least 12 months.
What applies to a special shade?
